Born and raised in Switzerland, singer-songwriter Natalie Ulrich was determined from a very early age to leave her own footprints in the sand. And somehow she always knew that music would be the key. At a turning point, Natalie borrowed an acoustic guitar from a friend, and began the humbling task of starting a new musical career from scratch. Armed with a handful of new songs, she began participating in songwriter nights at New York clubs such as the Cafe Vivaldi, the Gaslight, the Baggot Inn, the Bitter End, the Crash Mansion and was invited to join the Singer/Songwriter Circle at Nashville's famous Bluebird Café. Suddenly, I was home, Natalie has said about her return to song writing and performing. It may sound simple and clichéd, but music allows me to be me. It connects me to a magical place in myself."
Schon früh spielte die Musik eine wichtige Rolle im Leben von Natalie Ulrich. Geboren und aufgewachsen ist sie in der Schweiz. Als sie zwanzig Jahre alt war, wanderte die Liedermacherin aus in den Big Apple. Ihr musikalischer Wendepunkt erreichte sie in New York, als sie sich eine akkustische Gitarre von einem Freund auslieh. Als Aleinunterhalterin betrat sie die Bühne und spielte selbst geschriebene Songs. Sie trat in bekannten New Yorker Clubs auf wie Baggot Inn, the Bitter End, the Crash Mansion,the Gaslight und Café Vivaldi. Zudem wurde Natalie bereits zweimal zum Singer/Songwriter Night des berühmten Bluebird Café in Nashville eingeladen. "Plötzlich fühlte ich mich wie zu hause", beschreibt Natalie ihre Passion. "Es tönt vielleicht wie ein Klischee, aber
die Musik erlaubt es mir, mich selbst zu sein und die Gefühle, (eines ganz speziellen Ortes in mir) auszudrücken."
